Guys
Early type large knob choke cable- what holds it into the dash? Ours just pulls straight out. Is it just the plastic "wing" bits near the bezel, or should it have a clip? Lotusbits supplied me with a clip, but I cannot see anywhere to fit it. (I know that the later ones do use a clip.)
Thanks.

Re: Choke cable fitting
Hi John
Did you ever get this sorted as mine does the same ?
Lotusbits have offered a clip but as you say it seems to be a square peg with a round hole clip !!
Thanks
Darren

Re: Choke cable fitting
The clip can be made to fit. I think the original fit was just the plastic wings but over the years, the hole in the dash enlarges a bit and it pulls through. I bought one of the clips, pulled it open slightly and wedged it behind the dash immediately between the plastic wings and dash surface. Its been like that now for 2 years with no problems.
(The clip is really meant for the later smaller choke cable/knob which is Metro derived.)

Re: Choke cable fitting
Thanks John.
I think you are right about the wings.
I have opened them up a bit with a fine cable tie looped through the slots so will see how that goes and pick up a Clip at some point just in case.
