1984 Excel for sale

It's time to move on my Excel it's been in the family for about five years but I've come to the conclusion that it's just a bit too modern for me!

I be happy for it to go to an enthusiast at £5500

The car is a 1984 narrow-body and is in exceptional condition. It has had a major mechanical overhaul last year with a fully rebuilt engine, all new suspension - Shocks, Springs, Bushes and nut's and bolts (It's on protechs - But I have sourced a set of new and new old stock original armstrongs which will go with the car). The brake system has been overhauled with new lines, pads and discs master-cylinder and four refurbished calipers. It has had the carbs rebuilt along with the waterpump all the hoses a new alloy radiator and slimline fans - the list is extensive.

I also removed and refurbished the interior and the car was recently stripped and had a good quality respray. It's a 1984 car so should have the erm 'extensive' decals - I didn't put those on post respray as reading the order form it seems the car was ordered without them.
I have massive amounts of history with this car going all the way through it's life time.

If you buy the car you can have all my spares as well I've got a couple of pretty much perfect spare wing mirrors - several back boxes - 7 spare supra wheels. A good AB14 a set of NOS rear shocks - a set of new front shocks - an exhaust manifold that needs some studs removing all sorts of other bits and pieces.

Thanks it is a nice one - I'm taking it to the Sunday Scramble at Bicester next weekend - it'll be in the marketplace section.
Following on from Big Jim's post - if it does sell and the new owner doesn't want the spares I'll make them free to a good home.
As long as they're used and don't just end up on ebay!

I'll even toss in my boroughs gauge!

I've just finished sorting through the history file and have worked out the mileage. So the speedo head was replaced at 30345 miles on the 05/03/89 at the London lotus center - since that time the car has travelled a further 40418 bringing a grand total of 70763 miles!

Not sure if that makes it low mileage? Guess it would if it had been an 89 car!!

Anyway I would take £5000 to move the car on quickly (which incidentally is around about the cost of the parts that went into it last year!)
