Thought mine had failed yesterday - whilst "making progress" on the way home from Hexham it became quite erratic and then jumped to the "over 7" part of the scale.

It's fine - it's just that the movement of the distributor during the spirited driving must have put some strain on a badly positioned connecting wire.

Worth checking now and then to avoid any "uh oh" moments when the fine weather arrives (which it has up here in North Yorkshire).
