Simplicate, then add lightness.

Is this a feature of the later cars post '86? My car can have fogs/sidelights without lifting the headlamps.

Yes - the UK dim-dip legislation appeared in 1987 and required headlamps to come on if sidelights were also on when the engine was started. It was quashed by the EU in 1988 as it contravened the single market type approval rules, but the dim-dip units continued to be fitted for a while into the 1990s.Mr Locust wrote:Is this a feature of the later cars post '86?
