It's that time again.

Just made contact with Alan at Club Lotus to get some space for us inside. Things are a bit different this year due to an increase in demos, so we can probably only fit two cars - I reckon we either go for

* oldest & newst
* nearest & furthest
* shiniest and most room for improvement

Any thoughts ?


I can bring banner, bunting & laptop + essentials (i.e. TV tuner and broadband dongle for GP on Sunday) + shirts for sale

Can anyone volunteer a projector and screen ?

Do we want to make a block booking at a hotel nearby for a nice convoy run in the mornings and convivial evenings ? I, personally, recommend the Dakota Nottingham - not too far away and spouse friendly.

I have the display boards that Chris acquired plus the various posters etc. we used before.
Can bring a screen, will enquire about a projector.

We have family about 20 mins away so I'll be stopping there, but a convoy from the Dakota or other hotel sounds great. We still have LotusExcel.net balloons and I am in discussion with my brother in law about other logo'd giveaways. He is a photographer and has access to keyring tags and other handy items....

I will not be able to help man the stand this year as I have been asked to do the Lotus Cars stand.
Will still be able to help set up, bring display boards, etc. on the friday afternoon.

Not going down for the Lotus event this year I'm afraid.

However I will be down later in April to drive the circuit, not in the Lotus though.
A certain significant birthday present from one of my daughters is a morning in a single seater.

I can help man the stand on the Saturday as I did last year. As I remember you need 3 or 4 people on the stand at any one time. I'm sure that between us all we should be able to manage that. Even if you can only do half a day it helps. It's good fun - talking about Excels all day - makes a change from boring the wife
Perhaps we need a list of who can man the stand and when.

Last years convoy was a bit of a flop with only myself, Wingnut and dpr59. Don't think it turned too many heads!!
I'm up for meeting at the hotel.
I can print some slips with the excel.net logo on to distribute.

got my ticket not sure which day(s) I will be going - I think there is a track day on the friday with LOT so i might look into that and stay up the friday night
