I have just finished restoring my excel and now fancy a crack at an esprit.
Just wondered if anyone here knows where or anyone who might have one shut away in a garage or barn shouting out to be rescued.

You might need to be a bit more specific in terms of what stet you're looking for, one of the guys local to me was looking for a Turbo Esprit, I spotted one on Ebay which he eventually bought, it's turned out to be in good cosmetic condition with the engine partially stripped after it failed (that's what caused it to be put in the barn), but it can just as easily be fine mechanically and the interior is a complete shed and the body is spider cracked all over.
Nick Warren tends to have a few spirited away, he's in Marlborough.

something like your friends sounds ideal, but dont really mind.
my excel was off the road for 6 years parked in a yard. the bottom end of the engine was shot, so replaced, front spring was broken,so replaced the pair along with new shocks, roof lining was hanging, so replaced along with new carpet, brakes were overhauled new seals pads etc , rear shock was broken so replaced both, and lacquer was gone off the paint work so i did a garage swop with a mate for a week ( his was a double) and the the car had a full respray in original colour 2 pack paint.
if it needs a little more work this will obviously reflect in the price
i have got an eye open on the esprit forum and have been in touch with Marlborough aswell as mike at lotus bits.

Not sure of what sort of price you are looking at, but my son has a reasonable Esprit S2.2 for sale it is advertised on Pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/457774.htm.
He is prepared to negotiate over price by a fair bit!
It has been garaged since May and does not have an MOT, this can be arranged if required.

thanks for that, looks nice and seems like it does not need much work, but is probably too good for me as even with a price offer i think it would be far more than i could afford. this said if he wanted he could pm me with the lowest he is willing to go.
