The driver side window frame on my Excel SE is beginning to rust (just a few small areas at the moment) and I wanted to refurbish it before winter. Could someone please give me details on how to remove the wing mirror from the frame and then if it is necessary the frame from the door? I have had a quick look and cannot see how the wing mirror is fixed to the frame and do not want to break any of the mirror fitments while removing it.
Any advice gratefully received
Andrew

Re: Window frame refurbishment
I have the required information now and will get on with the rust removal. Dave R. was kind enough to send me the necessary diagrams via e-mail. Thanks again Dave...

I'd also like to mention to anyone else reading the thread, that I bought a pair of second hand door/window frames from Mike Taylor for one of my friends Excels. They were in lovely condition and arrived very well packaged at a reasonable price.
