Hmmm - I thought Culzean was a new event, more targetted at the concours crowd than the clubs loonies ;-) I'm probably wrong though. If I am, though, it'll be a sad sad day. Doune/Callander was always one of the most "fun" events for clubs to participate in.

Hi Angus

An official letter to all clubs will go out this weekend coming, but basically what I have read so far is, that the decision was only taken on Sunday night after the Callander event and the reasons are because the event is becoming bigger and bigger as each year passes and due to the costs involved, has to move to a more corporate type sponsorship, the organisers are pretty fed up with the lack of support from the business community in Callander, despite the fact that the show brings crowds of people to the town, Hotels and B&B's, apparently its a similar situation with the Highland Games and they also may be disbanded.
The first time I have entered with a car at Callander and I have given it the kiss of death...!!!!!
Sad but there you have it.

Jim
