I'm back in on the "new" forum.
You may remember our chit chats of EFI conversion TVR's etc from 2005
Also, I now have my old Eclat Excel back ...... oh dear god is he in a bad way.
Otters playing up , dodgy temps reading, suspect HGF
Steve we met at Combe with your lovely wife and my dragon better half on the walk around the circuit.
My early old car (think #121) in production) has non of the fancy VDO's and dual fans etc.
Lot's of support needed, but, off to the MLOC Lakes bash on Friday to see where the old banger plays up first.
Seems to be playing up in th garage at the mo, so it's not looking to healthy.
Really pleased as punch your still here and active.

Yes, totally at ambient temp. The engine hasn't run since the boating event at Brands a couple of weeks ago !!Steve C wrote:That was checked cold? Does sound high! I've been using a krikit for a few years and aim for between 50 and 55 "units" ..

Paypal payments for Krikits.
Sorry about this, but have just found out that Paypal want to charge me 0.34% plus 20p to accept payment.
So regretfully have to say that if you wish to use Paypal, please add 52p to payment. i.e. £10.28, not £9.26.
Many thanks.
Edited to say......Sorry, that should be £9.78, not £10.28. To clarify, the payment by Paypal will be £9.78, and £9.26 by cheque.

Got my Krikit this morning - thanks Paul.
Checked my cambelt and coming up with a reading of about 50. It is really important to get it exactly in the centre between pulleys as the reading can vary quite a bit even when you are just a few mm's off centre.
Is 50 about right

Tanz, rom Stefan's post, 50 to 55 should do it. It is also important to take several readings through at least one engine revolution to give an average of 50 - 55, as the belt tension can fluctuate depending on degree of engine rotation. Sounds like you got the belt change all sorted out - great

Hi Paul,
The Krikit turned up today AOK. Many thanks for organising this, despite me being on first name terms with the guys from Gates Scotland when I was working at both Rover and the Daewoo Tech Centre, I never managed to wangle a free one out of them - though some of the guys managed it!!
Thanks again,
Jeremy.
