Driver's Window replacement

Post by GARY1958 »

This weekend I will be attempting to replace my driver's side window with a new one bought from Lotus. Having done a search on here I'm looking to dismantle the door. I did wonder if it was possible to 'wiggle' the window out once i've disconnected the motor arm and not extract the window frame completely? Looking at the new glass size and after removing the external trim attached the the door on the outside it may be possible. Will take some pictures if it works!

Oh well, having spent Saturday and Sunday on parenting duties Monday was set for the window replacement job. Rained most of the day and it's quite obvious that the window frame has be taken out. Spent some time with WD40 working the bolts that hold the frame to the door beam ready for a fresh assault this weekend!
