Best way to remove Elite/éclat sill trim

Post by Alan_M »

What’s the best way to remove the chrome trim that runs along the top of the sills without damaging them?

Is it best to lever from the bottom or the top? How much force should I expect to have to exert ?
Thanks

It depends on wheter it has the metal clips behind it or plastic ones. Don't know when they changed. Mine were held on with wood screws!!

Might be worth trying to tap from the front / back (slide off).
I'll post some pictures later of the section and plastic trim .
What goes together.... Must come apart.
