Lotus 5 Speed oil leak (Elite S1)

I've a small oil leak from my 'Lotus' 5 speed gearbox. It's ending up on the exhaust pipe so I can smell it burning off occasionally, and can see a burnt oil stain on the pipe. In my 'annual check over' it always needs a little top up. I changed the rear output seal whilst I had the diff and prop out a couple of years back but the small leak is still there, it actually looks as though it may well be coming out of the speedo drive, is that possible? anyone know what that area of the box looks like in detail please?
