Hi Chris

Take out the rear interior light
Unscrew the single screw holding it to a bracket on the roll bar
Loosen the seat belt top mounts, might only need to do one side
Gently pull top of B pillar trim down and you should have enough clearance to get the roll bar trim out.

Are you going to the Crown next week?

Does anyone know how the sun visors are removed please?

I have undone the four 10mm nuts but there doesn't seem to be any play to slide the threaded section of the swivel pins out of the washer and hole in the front header rail.

The pins should either push back into the visor (CAREFUL!) or pull out of it. You've done everything that I did when I needed to adjust mine.

Hi Angus, from what I can see they must push in - they have flats on them, presumably to lock for tightening the nuts. I tried pushing one in but got the impression that once in, it wouldn't be coming out again, making it tricky to replace the visor later. The parts list diagram is somewhat limited in terms of detail. Thanks, Chris

Done it all. I finished Sunday but had to go away on business. I'll put together another 'how to' with some pictures if Steve would like it for his Benani site. Thanks to Mike Fahey who sent me an overview of how he had done his and to everyone else who told me how to take the bits apart. Hardest job was getting the roll bar cover back on - not much give in my B post covers!

I almost passed out because I forgot to let the fumes out when I was applying the replacement lining (not from Woolies but Zebedee fabrics on the South coast).

It does make the finished result seem great at the time.

Hi Andy, I used to live in Barnham Broom, which is where I developed my interest in Lotus. The solvent in the glue is pretty potent stuff, so I took advantage of sunny weather last Friday / Saturday to avoid the fumes. I also thinned the glue with cellulose thinners (xylene) to stretch it a bit further because the solvent evaporates pretty damn quick!
