I've experienced the spanner throwing need today.
Been refitting pedal box finally. It's just one very difficult fiddly job after another.
Rain stopped play around lunch time and I can't say I was sorry.
Happy new year to all.
Tony

Sounds like you’ve done some good sleuthing👍

I think we can all empathise with the desire to throw spanners 🤣

A simple oil change for me today.

How much!!!!
Anyway, the underdash bit is in. Part of my problem getting the rear bolt in was "some idiot" had made the grp abit too thick when I closed the hole in the centre tunnel.

Anyway, its just plumbing and wiring now and seeing as my engine bay is a bit full that could be fun

Ive had to move quite alot of stuff, although I have learnt some stuff that might be handy if anyone tries this with a standard engine.
Image
Boring list of things Ive had to sort:-
Extra pulley for the v8, luckily I had one in my pile of spares, same for the compressor bracket although I had to make a spacer out of aluminium. I had to re-route the heater pipes on the engine from the water pump, top and bottom hoses needed some thought. The remote oil filter had to be repositioned along with the braided hose. The coil was moved to the opposite side of the engine bay. The relay box for the fitech fuel injection has been repositoned. The dryer won't fit in the standard position and is currently on the move and I had to modify the crossbar on the underside of the bonnet to clear the compressor. I haven't started on the radiator assembly yet but I know what Im going to do. Apart from all that its easy !

Stuff that's more useful to you all. If you do this the pipe you really need is the narrow steel ac pipe that goes across the bulkhead, this is the one with the unicorn fitting that is almost impossible to find. Every other bit can be made up with stuff from car builder solutions. When it comes to the crimped on fittings carbuilder will crimp them for free if you buy the fittings from them, I've bought the tool because I can now make my own pipes and others like for power steering etc.
I will take a photo of my schematic rough sketch at some point with all the fittings needed, which will be the same for you all if you make your own pipes up
