Yes they're good people and very reasonable too - they've done wotk on my system (basically making it fit properly!) The tyre place opposite is good too for balancing and alignment work.

Why not bring it to Brands and show it off! (advert over  )

Busy year for my Excel, comparatively.

Nice new S/Stell exhaust cans fitted by the friendly folk at A44 Worcester, quite a few local shows, trips to Shelsley Walsh and a Track Day at Curborough Sprint circuit and a fun charity Treasure Hunt. Spreading the word and having fun...can't be bad!

Busy start to 2018, a couple of local meets here in Worcestershire at a pub between Kidderminster and Stourbridge, over 120 vehicles at the last one. Organised by a FB group they even briefly used a picture of my Excel as their 'Cover Photo'.

I also joined a group of enthusiasts at the excellent Coventry Transport Museum towards the end of February and today I took the Excel into work at JLR Whitley, before driving home via my local MOT station. Passed with an advisory regarding corroded rear springs

Looking good, sounds like the mot man was trying to satisfy his advisories total, my last MOT had an advisory for underseal on the sills !

In fairness my springs are pretty rusty and I thinking about a trip to Lotus Bits is on the cards

Not updated this for a while, but I have finally has a significant chunk of work done on my long suffering Excel

Clutch/Skimmed flywheel
New discs/calipers/pads/lines front and rear
New spring and shocks all round
Cam belt service/valve clearances
New windscreen
Better (stock) wheels on new Toyos
Replaced headliner, pillar trims and sun visors
New cam cover finish in SE red
Dash lights and fog lights back up and running

Still need to sort the paint on the nose, but hope to do that in the coming weeks

Next winter I will get the seats re-trimmed unless anyone has some nice leather ones kicking about they don't want.

Good progress! Is the car still on the road while doing all this work?

Worth looking at Option One near Bromsgrove, they have a newish trim shop that didn’t charge VAT last time I looked!

Cheers, Richard

Cheers. The car was at Lotus bits for a couple of months having the work done, but was up and running before and is back up and running. Hope to take to a body shop for a quote on getting the nose blown in the morning. Plan is patch up the paint for now and save for a more thorough re-paint in a few years down the line

That's not far for me (about 15 miles. I will check them out. I have had quotes from Lotus and Aldridge Trimming so far. It will be interesting to see how they compare
