General Excel discussions. You may also post Eclat and Elite information here. If there is enough call I will set up new categories or even a new BB for them.

Great picture.

Yes if 2000 a year is exclusive then what does that make just over 2000 in 10 years?

In 1957 Lotus introduced the type 14 Elite-technically brilliant yet Lotus lost money on each car produced.
The company was saved by the type 26 Elan which brought in a ton of cash.
Lotus then went upmarket with the type 50 Elite only to have it released in the middle of an oil crisis....

Fast forward

In 1989 Lotus introduced the M100 Elan-technically brilliant FWD yet Lotus lost money on each car produced.
The company was saved by the type 111 Elise which brought in a ton of cash.
Lotus then went upmarket with the ?Eagle only to have it released in the middle of an oil crisis...

Deja-Vu anyone?

ps-nice looking car :D

Nigel, that made me smile.

Angus - sorry can't figure out ROTFLPSML, even with online anacronym finder. Rolling on the floor laughing ...........

As for the car, I can't see how you can get 4 in there, but I'm sure all will become clear. Little disappointed that it is so similar to an Elise in appearance (but I suppose that is down to the corporate identity strategy), fortunately I like Elises, very nice

Hmmm....bring back the original Europa and Esprit. :|

Did you know it's fashionable to tuck your shirt in your trousers now that the 45 plus age group have discovered the comfort factor by not tucking-in.

"Y" fronts next maybe.

Why is Lotus not setting the style instead of producing a current style that's on the wane?
