Common, not a word ot be used for Lotus but I struggled for a subject heading.
As well as 'bits', brakes, electics etc.
Do the Lotus and the Toyota look a bit alike.
Does anyone know if Lotus we're involved with the development work of the Supra.
I think an earlier model with the origianl wheels would look even more alike.

Yes,those generation of Toyotas were a revelation.
I've no doubt Lotus had a part to play in the handling dept.
Celica-super smooth and well balanced FWD coupe
I owned a 1986 AW11 Mk1 MR2 from new-most practical sports car I ever had(traded in 21/2 yrs ago for a Mini Cooper S).The 4AGE engine again to me had a certain similarity.Didn't see the point in the Elan M100 when I had this-or anything else for a long time.
Styling-not a chance-pure Japanese samurai and in the end what made me part with it

I have an elan M100 and it is a fabulous little car and that engine is really sweet. It is my son's favourite car. One of the best FWD handling cars you can buy.
