Well spotted Alan.

That's my car! I want one! 😍

How do you sign up to their newsletter, or better still, pre-order one?

Newsletter sign-up won't accept my email address. Seems like pricing varies between £160 to £215. It'll be nearer the £215 end I'd guess. Even so, I'd like to pre order one if possible. But how?

Pre orders can be placed at this website, £189.

My debate is whether to put the money into this or into the real thing!

I want one too, but so long as there's room for improvement in my 1:1 scale version, that's where my money will be going.

If I'm reading their listing correctly, available 23Q4, should be at the end of this year, I hope so. Lacking room to keep the real thing, I have 1-18 scale models of most of the Lotus I owned. Elan, Elan Coupe, Sunbeam, Caterham, Cortina 1, Europa (T/C, JPS), nearest to the Excel is the Essex Esprit Turbo, (well its the right colour and general shape). Jeff.

That looks great and well up to Cult's usual standards. I'll be getting one with a view to dismantling it for a re-paint in Aqua Blue to match my car. I wanted to do the same with my 1/36th Spark Excel but found it was so well glued together I didn't dare tamper with it in case I broke it prising it apart.

I don't think I've seen one in the flesh(resin). But the photos look well detailed.
It only cost £1 off the card to pre-order, they take the remainder just before delivery in Q4 of this year.
SMEE150 seems to get a lot of his models repainted to match his cars but I don't have to worry about my cheap small car collection. No one is going to model a Clan or a Smart Roadster or an old T4 VW camper to that standard. 😏

Ah thanks for the link.
Mine is not the fastback version unfortunately.
I'd have to repaint too, it's red.😐

I found a Dutch dealer selling this model at £145 - it arrived yesterday, and is impressive, but there has been a serious oversight in the quality control department: the Lotus badges on the Bonnet and B-Pillars are all upside down.

I must admit to having momentarily concerned myself with whether the centre caps on the wheels were also so afflicted...

Well I ordered mine (red) in summer and it hasn't turned up yet. I get emails every month to say it's on back order. Paid only £1 holding deposit so far. ☹️

Maybe the first batch was faulty as described and so they can't complete my order at the full price. The faulty ones being sold off cheaper. I won't accept the upsidedown Lotus roundel at full price that's for sure.
