Just done an oil change and encountered a brass sump plug which refused to loosen due to previous damage to the head flats.
Stilsons simply chewed up the brass even more.
I ended up drilling a hole through the head but even an old drill bit simply bent.
I then used a masonry drill with stronger steel but still could not loosen the plug.
And finally I put the hydraulic lift jack and loaded up the masonry drill and with a lump hammer and chisel impacted the rim of the sump plug head, it worked.
I will be replacing the plug with a new steel one.
So if anyone is up for an oil change I suggest you get a new plug in advance.
