AVO damper bottom bush

Post by Mr Locust »

The red poly bushes on my AVO dampers code "RA6 AVO" appear to have failed after around 2years/2kmiles. Not good.

They appear to be either too too soft or the split type bush doesn't suit the application. Either way they aren't even dirty......

Does anybody have any recommendations/experience of something a little more durable which fit the AVO damper lower eye as a replacement?

Thanks.

Seems a bit poor. Have you had a chat with AVO to see if they'll replace them.
Have you had the "weight on" when you've tightened the bolt ?

No point, as these bushes are a sliding fit on the pin. It is important with rubber bushes where the inner is bonded to the outer sleeve. These you want to mount in the neutral position so that the rubber will flex equal amounts up or down.
