Been looking for an elite

Post by 4seater »

hi, I’m new to the forum and have been looking for an Elite, I’ve seen a few on eBay recently which seemed to have a big spread on price £2700 reserve not meet and asking 7k no one went for it . There is also a nice one on car and classic an S2 which seems pretty good ,would be great to find a perfect runner but it seems a rare thing. I feel the s2 looks like a better way to go as it might be a little more sorted. Any advise welcome

This might be of interest James viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12427

I've never owned an Elite but I do know with features such as inboard rear brakes, non-galvanised chassis, vaccum operated pop up headlamps etc. they take more looking after than the later Excel. Having said they have pure 70's styling which owners think is well worth it.

Yes welcome to the forum James. The number of Elite and Eclat owners on here seems to be increasing so you are in the right place for advice.
Cheers, Phil

Hi James

Take a look at the blue S2 in the Netherlands. Don't get scared by the location.

Bauke is the seller and a forum member.

PS it's only 4 hours drive - what could be better :D
