The price would be OK if it didn't have a terrible interior. Prices should be going up - when a good early Esprit is four or five times the cost . I know we have said it before but our cars are the most under-valued classics available.

Its not big money though is it. 12k is bargain basement for a classic in good order these days. You'll struggle to buy anyhing decent for that money.

Just because he's asking £12k doesn't mean that's what anyone is going to pay! It's the sale price that counts.

Where to start with this one.
It appears to be a running useable car but it's not particularly original and the interior really lets it down.
The 'original' sunroof is anything but.
It's advertised as a 501 but the ad then mentions power steering.
The rear wiper mechanism appears to have been deleted.

The seller is asking top money for it considering how much you'd need to spend to get it back to original. It's good if sellers can get that sort of money but people want originality with such rare cars. The cost to do that would not be a good return on investment, although if you wanted it for keeps, you'd not be too worried.

I would love the Elite to be super collectable and have great value but I suspect it'll never happen as they are so rare and a niche market. I've no illusions that my Elite, once I start spending on the rebuild, will return me cash on the investment if I ever sell it. :)

Something really odd going on with those rear seats ( under where your knees would be).
Suspicious when there's no under bonnet or boot pictures.
A very expensive project.
