Back on the road Saturday

Post by Highland Lotus »

:D :D :D :D
After what seems like a lifetime I am off to collect my car from Aberdeen.
It’s fixed, tuned and MOTed(passed first time) and I will be ripping up the SORN letter and taxing it.
P/s Bill £970 (wife is a bit crinkly about it) not bad considering it was 350 just to get it transported to Aberdeen.
It fully repaired and all the little jobs where done while it was waiting for the distributor to be rebuilt.
I have a huge smile on my face and another Excel is back on the road. I am going to have fun on the way back to Inverness, thanks again for all the advice. :D :D :D

The smile on your face now is nothing to the smile you will have after driving the car.

I think that the road between garage and home can sometimes bit a long one!

Enjoy!

If the Wife is a problem just let her take it for a drive. Trouble with that is you may have to fight over it!

Glad to hear you've got it sorted.

Regards,

Steve
Some of them are just driving a racing car but some are racing drivers.

I let my wife drive mine, lasted all of a mile and a half before she pulled over got out threw the keys at me and vowed never to drive it again. Didn't feel safe apparently, couldn't reach the pedals properly.

On the plus side it came very close to resulting in me buying her an Elan.

Wives and Lotus bills are generally best kept apart

Derek, good to see she's back on the road, enjoy

Did that last year......

Not this year.......

Give me a nice crisp morning and the lotus will be out.

It'll mean I don't have to scrap ice off the Pug.

The lads at work can't understand why I have a new Pug 206 standing on the drive while a 20 yr old car gets garaged.
