Re: excel in Matthewson's next auction
Took some finding but it's lot 292 going on Sat 6th Feb.
Looks a bargain at that price, even though its not been on road for a while. Can't see much if anything in the boxes off this car. I think the owners just taken the chance to fill the boot with junk and have a clear out.
Be interesting to see how much it goes for.

I like the way he says wheel arches and door shuts are all good as if to say they’re not rusty

I spy ...

.... a rather nice Jag ..but more importantly, what can you spot in the background.
I wonder if this one has sold already or maybe it's still available? For me, a nicer colour than the one listed.
Also a very nice looking TVR wedge drop top for similar money to the listed Excel...

... mind you, no info on the all-important state of the chassis / out-riggers.

Re: excel in Matthewson's next auction
I went to look at an excel in their auction last year when I was scouring the country for a decent one.
it was a pile of pants, badly resprayed white over yellow, interior coming apart, elec mirrors not working, one headlamp not lifting, so I walked away from that one.
you are probably not interested but - if you are you really must go and give it a good looking at.
they do put some fantastic cars through though
