Finally after a year of ownership I got chance to do a rough check over last weekend. Came in at around 21 mpg, which was about 90 miles of motorway at around 75 mph (satellite indicated, so pretty accurate 3400 / 3500 RPM) plus the rest buzzing around the peak district.
Thinking there is some opportunity for some tune up. Pot's off the front carb at least look a it rich from the plugs.

Just had a nice long trip up to Bridlington and back to take my daughter to see Pulp in concert - about 300 miles round trip - so a good chance to check my longer-trip fuel consumption.

Accounting for the fact that the first 75 miles on this tank was my regular commuting, which typically comes to 26.5 mpg (hooning around Northamptonshire country lanes), I reckon the long trip came to 33.0 mpg - a mixture of M1 (sticking to the speed limit (mostly  ) and with several slower roadworks) and some steady-state single-carriageway A-roads.

Not bad for a 33 year old sports car.
