Hi, I just thought that I'd share my joy at now being able to see those pesky indicator lights and so avoid the embarrassment of driving for miles with one on.
I thought of fitting additional repeater lights but ended up fitting a replacement wheel. Its a 350mm Nardi Personal Blitz which has lower side spokes. Being from the same company, its a direct replacement (although the centre pad cannot be re-fitted). Well worth the change.

Re: Steering Wheel
Did you not try the rake adjustment to lower the wheel in relation to your seated position?
That's what I did

Re: Steering Wheel
For a moment I wondered if I would qualify for dumbo of the year. Could I simply have adjusted the wheel? Unfortunately, mine is an early car so this feature is not available. At least that's one less thing to go wrong.

I've fitted motorbike-style buzzers to the indicators in quite a few cars where. This helps when the dash lamps are hard to see and the cabin noise can drown out the "tick" from the indicator relay.
Just personal choice but cheaper than a new steering wheel, and I like the one in the Excel anyway.
