I would have used something similar if I didn't need the original pedal to control the gearbox. I'll still look at linear servos one day!

The original petrol tank in the Elite is only supported over its the forward half by the split-level boot floor. It clearly causes no problems with the steel tank but I wanted my aluminium tank better supported so I've added a little more support at the rear:

Once the extra hose comes next week (didn't order enough! :roll:) I can get the tank, swirl pot, pump and filter installed!

That blends in quite nicely with the rest of the fiberglass - not something many will ever notice. They may notice the upgrades to the engine though :lol:

Maybe I'll make it like a modern car where you can't even see the engine when you lift the bonnet - I could get a full-sized poster of a standard 907 and put it in there like a "vanity" cover! :lol:
