Anyone got a pair of either rubber or Poly top spring seats for a late Excel ( sure they'll be the same on all cars).
Either for me to buy direct, or I can buy and replace once suppliers have them in stock again.
Can get all bushes etc I need for the front suspension rebuild, except the seats. I'd rather fit new as it's all in bits now.
Being really hopeful, it would be perfect if someone's got a pair on the shelf and they are attending the show next weekend.

Do you know if they are the same as the Elite ones Tony? I may have a used set somewhere - they might take some finding though!!

Re: Wanted : top front spring seat.
Just checked parts list and it's the same on all cars from the 74 Elite right through to the end of production.. Do you know if they are the same as the Elite ones Tony
I'll be at LB tomorrow morning, so will see if they have any good used items.
Thanks Stu. Would be happy to do a deal on the poly. Unless you want them this weekend
ones and I can certainly wait until next weekend. Planning to get most parts shot blasted and powder painted. Might as well make it look like something has been done (as well as feel like and drive properly.

Re: Wanted : top front spring seat.
Not a chance. Last time I was up looking for some, they said they're all shot normally!
I bought mine from SJ but
1: mines auto so not correct thickness.
2: I've got bespoke springs so wrong size.

I fear you may be referring to me My expert opinion would be to get one that somebody else has wasted a lot of time and effort making already! However, I do confess to having this problem lurking in the back of my brain somewhere if/when height issues relating to the suspension crop up At least I do have originals to mould from.....
