Spark plug socket info

Post by Hawaiis0 »

Looking for details on the 21mm Plug socket used in the OEM tool kit.

Mine isnt original, should be as per the photo

Are there any markings on the original to help identify?

Thanks for that Stu... Sending me outside at -4 deg C. Friggin cold out there tonight
Good news is once the condensation had stopped forming on the socket, I got this photo:

The "wings" are also the other side of the word HEYCO and underneath it reads "21mm CHROM VANADIUM"

I have noticed I have a different small socket to the one in the photo above. Mine is a 13mm Heyco, the photo looks like a 17 or 19mm.

May I ask what others are finding in their kit?

Does it fit the plug socket head?

Well mines a Heyco socket, 19mm but is 12 point, not the 6 shown in original photo. It does fit the hex on the plug socket.

I'm guessing tools supplied fluxed around a little over the years of production. Doubt this kit was solely for Lotus cars.

Thanks Tony. 19 mm

I'm researching replacement tools with Heyco.

Got most of them sorted but have to buy in 10's. Getting expensive now!
