I am restoring a pair of Dellorto 45 DHLA carburettors and one of the trumpets has been mislaid by the previous owner, would anyone have a 48mm length trumpet that I could purchase. New ones are available but they are bright and shiny and would like to retain the patina of the originals.
Thought worth a post,
Thanks
Robert

Give the old ones a rub over with some brasso, then they'll look shiny and bright like a new one.

Lend me the shiney one and i'll 'patina it' in a couple of weeks. Or if you're at Castle Coombe I'll trade you a patina one for a shiney one plus a beer. You can choose from one of four

I know what I have to do now go to man that messes about with a port grinder and doles out another 20 bhp, buy a new trumpet and ask for a free tube of patina
