Nice article overall, but the author clearly wasn't an expert on the Excel. For instance, he wrote, "At the same time, the rear suspension was modified to incorporate the Esprit’s top link and lower wishbone layout in place of the Elite’s Chapman strut."
Wrong Elite. The Type 14 2-seater had Chapman-strut rear suspension, but none of the 4-seaters did... including the Type 75 Elite.

So, apart from the esprit suspension bits, the none existing chapman struts and the lack of rear seats in a europa S, what have the romans ever done for us ?
