A "Winterbottom Run" is a brilliant idea - but will I go in the Elite or the TVR? :D

I'll probably still be building them

Really liking this idea. How about mid May to coincide with release of the Elite.
Weather and roads also brightening up by then.

Either will do nicely. Just don't show up in a TR7.

Pete, seeing as both your cars are in bits perhaps you could drop the TVR body onto the Lotus chassis and you could say they are both 'done'.

You know - a 350i body on a Lotus chassis would be brilliant! Where's the angle grinder!!

I liked my Inca Yellow TR7 - of course I put a V8 in it!

A lift would be great Bash!

Careful, Oliver was instrumental in the design of the TVR suspension and chassis! We don’t want any bolts from the blue!

Nice idea about May.

Cheers

Saddened to hear the loss of another member of the team who were instrumental of the Lotus Cars product range on the 1970's. A big thankful to Oliver and the team for getting such great product into production, which sounds so easy.

Oliver managed to design some great cars which seem to form their own niche and do not seem to age in the conventional sense of ageing in the world of car design. When the world first saw his designs, they were stunned, and that comment is still applicable, when, today when one sees one of "his" cars on the road.

We should be grateful that he put into print via his book "A Life in Car Design" so that we can all see some of the behind the scene issues which happens when small firms such as Lotus want to put a car into production, and Oliver's willingness to support the Lotus stands at the NEC Classic Car show and other events, where we had the opportunity to ask him anything that we wanted to.

Finally, a big thank you to Rob Borrett and his podcast team with the great contributions from Mike Kimberly, Steve Sutcliffe and James Elliot.

Oliver, you may no longer be with us, but we will endeavour to your designs going on and on and on. Marcus
