The car isn’t running well so I think it is about time I got the carbs rebuilt.
I live in Stroud Gloucestershire, has anyone got anybody recommendations of anyone in this area?

Re: Carb rebuild
You could try booking a tuning visit to Aldon Eng. Straight up the M5 from you.

Re: Carb rebuild
You could buy rebuild kits from Eurocarb and do it yourself - just make sure you do one at a time so you can see how it goes back together! Take the opportunity to get the steel bits re-plated. I'm doing this at the moment - may even buy an ultrasonic bath to get the bodies/jets properly clean.

Re: Carb rebuild
If you don’t want to do it yourself, then Eurocarb is probably your best bet. https://www.dellorto.co.uk/product-cate ... burettors/

Re: Carb rebuild
There is a book How to build and powertune Weber and Dellorto Carbs by Des Hammill and
published by Veloce Publishing which I find great reading and a must for carb re-builders.
It will also help you to order those bits that do not come in the kit, besides advice on the quality of
some non-original parts.
Also a step by step re-assemble and balancing/tuning.

Re: Carb rebuild
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I have ordered the book by Des Hammill, will probably have a go myself. If it all goes wrong will send them off to eurocarb.

I took plenty of pictures as I went which helped with the rebuild and as Pete says, do one at a time.

Re: Carb rebuild
wish you luck with the rebuild - I had a go a couple of years back and generally it was very easy, the problems I had were a couple of jets were stuck in the casing and the top of the jet was damaged, the worst being the idle jet adjuster which would not move as there is only half a screw, really I needed new carbs but as I could not afford that I have had to balance and set the carbs best I could without being able to change the mixture !
