When I started buying all the parts to rebuild engine and get the car back on the road about 1 month ago . Three suppliers suggested on here had piston rings . From £90 to £ 157, all plus vat. As soon as I went to order only one supplier had stock. The price then became £200 plus vat . In the scheme of things it's no big deal but the principal of the pricing has discouraged me from buying that supplier now . I still don't have rings so my rebuild has stalled. I will therefore wait till the other suppliers get stock or get over my tantrum. :)

It is entirely possible that thee retailers 'supplies have dried up and the manufacturers are charging more so the one retailer's price is just reflective of how their stock at thee old price has gone.

Got some so the reassembly can commence. I will work out how to do some pictures and add.
