Possible solution for rear hub spacers?

Post by Zaphod »

I was searching the internet as you do for parts that might cause me a problem if I needed to find them and found this thread, would this be of use on the excel?

Crush sleeves are a horrible cheap way to do things. The spacer/shims set-up is how it should have been from the beginning. If you buy some let us know how you get on :D

I would tend to agree.. but its a PITA if you don't have the shims! I have bought a pair of them just in case I need to do the rear wheel bearings, which as far as I know I don't (yet!)

Unless you have to do the rear bearings I would leave them alone, they are a right pig to do. My neighbours learnt a few new swear words thats for sure.

Ps, you can still get the sleeves from toyota.

No intention of touching them unless I need to!
Are you sure you can still get the originals?
