Dipped beam and sidelights work, main beam not, headlight flashers work, now headlights will not retract,is this usual damp in relays, pea soup weather /fog etc after weeks of dry weather up here, good time for it to happen as its mot time shortly

Re: Lights
Headlights stuck up is not a problem for MOT test. Check the relays on the passenger side.

Re: Lights
Now found cities lights are rusting ,is it possible to get locating pins off them and put them on new cibie units, you can still get ones that are left or right fitting, not sure if they come with pins or it was a lotus only fitting,I think there was a technical post on it , electrical drawing for headlamp retract relay is wrong, very strange as permanent 12v feed seems to be double fused

Re: Lights
Classic mini was one user. Angus is working on a supply of 3 pinned units. We have a source but not the fitting. Alternatively switch to 7 inch crystals.

Re: Lights
I have a sample here, and a couple of possibilities for bulbs. Just need to find some time to test it on my car.Hawaiis0 wrote:Classic mini was one user. Angus is working on a supply of 3 pinned units. We have a source but not the fitting. Alternatively switch to 7 inch crystals.

Interesting. I am just preparing for the Wipac Crystal conversion having put LEDs in almost everything else. I shall wait with interest.amarshall wrote: I have a sample here, and a couple of possibilities for bulbs. Just need to find some time to test it on my car.

Stand down. The mounts look right, but one of them is offset so they won't fitamarshall wrote:I have a sample here, and a couple of possibilities for bulbs.
