Anyone know what the air gap between the magnet and the pick up should be on the distributor ( the expanded bubble in diagram below).
The clamp plate is held by 2 nuts. One acts as a pivot , the other is slotted to allow gap adjustment, but I can't find anything in my service notes about how big it should be.

I think most hall sensors are set at 1mm.

Anything around a 1mm will be fine - that is what I did for mine when I replaced the pick-up as no specific measurement is given in the service notes. Main thing is making sure that on a full rotation no contact is made!
