Wiring diagram needed

Has anyone got a copy of page 6 and 6B, from the section MH variant of the electrical section of the manual they could scan and email to me? (Excel 89 model Year).

I now have a scanned copy of the majority of this section but typically, I have a problem with the head lamp flashing circuit, and this page is corrupted in the file I have.

Thanks in advance

Tony

Sent you a link by pm. see if it works

It is for MF but is technically identical.

If Stu's doesn't work I've got them.

I am checking out Digital clock and changing to LED bulbs in 85MY LC and have blown a fuse, which having looked in the
fuse box perhaps there is an in-line fuse somewhere or someone previously has done some splicing.
Can a kind gentleman (or other) provide me with the wiring diagram so that I can trace wire cable colours.
My e.mail is shamal.david@gmail.com

Many thanks

dave the cog.

Hi Dave . I dont have the MA series scanned (yet). I'll look into it.

Now happy I'm looking at correct diagrams for my car ( Sheet 6B is same as 6c, just with the dim dip module for UK market instead of a link wire) and as identified by Hawaiis0, the MF diagrams are identical.

Now electrics are not my strong point, so any help would be appreciated here.
Firstly, can anyone crack the Enigma code that is the link conditions for the column switches.
Image

I've looked high and low for definitions of Hf, Hu, Ed / HH, HL,HU / T, H,El,U but can find nothing.
I understand that HF (what ever it is), links the 3 wires feeding this L/H matrix, that HU (?) links 2 of them and that HL (?) links non.
But I don't understand why the red feed on the R/H matrix has no other wires in the matrix. I assume the 4 rows are the 4 positions the column switch can be turned to in sequence ( "TAIL" therefore I assume means Dim/Dip side lights?)
-- Or am I just stupid?

Secondly, any thoughts on the actual problem : All functions on the lighting column switch appear to work fine, including the service mode (first position and flash) to raise the pods. The lights come on fine, the main beam works (push away) and the flash works (Pull towards). I'm not sure there is any difference between the Dim/Dip position and low beam, but otherwise, all seems good.
Whats not working is the Flash command when lights are not on. The pods come up, then go down after about 5 seconds, but no flash of the bulbs.

Any thoughts on where the problem lies?

HF - Headlight Full Beam
HL - Headlight Low Beam
HU - Head Up

I see it as when a flash is commanded, the HU line is made to pop the lights with the extra HF link to power the High Beam.

However the pop and retract is controlled by relays out side of the on position. Headlamp relay needs to be in Head position for power.

Second attempt -

The Headlight relay is feed from the auxiliary relay (sheet2) with key in auxiliary position

No key turned means no flash

Do you have page 17 (not sheet 17) of the section MH notes?

Yes. I have page 17. Very informative and system better understood as result of reading, but struggling to understand where the main beam signal comes from on daylight flash.

Just to confirm,

Your lights DON'T flash when aux on AND flash held on?

or they are but we just can figure where the supply comes from?

Have a look at sheet 7 for the motors and RCR pin 6 as referred in page 17

Column switch off - Headlamp relay de-energised.

Stalk Flash :
actuates motor, sheet 7
energises HLR wire RW - WB earth.

Supply through to Main Beam Relay pin 30

MBR remains de-energised (column not selected) supplies via closed 87a to wire UW = main beam on

Thanks for your help H..s0. Between sheets 6 and 7 and your guidance, I'm starting to understand things a little.
I must say these diagrams are not easy to read and I'm pretty sure there are a few errors in them. Finally worked out that half of sheet 7 is duplicated on sheet 6 ! Why didn't they just put the retract relay detail on sheet 7?
Then I also understand that to fully understand the wiring to the rotary part of the switch, you need to look at sheets 6, 7 and 10. Why couldn't they at least show all 4 wires on all diagrams ?
I guess it's all done to confuse the hard of thinking like me.

Back to my earlier Photo, I think I'm correct in believing that HL is the centre position for the stalk ( Low beam Headlights). HU is the "push" main beam on position ( just connects the RY coloured wire to earth to operate the Main/Dip Beam relay. Therefore HF is the Flash position I'm having trouble with ( Connects the Main beam relay through RY wire ) same as normal main beam, but also allows the RW wire to earth, tripping the Retract control relay.
Assuming I'm right with the above paragraph, the ONLY thing that seems to make sense is that the actual stalk switch is misbehaving. My problem would make sense if RY is able to earth when the stalk is pushed, but is not making earth when the stalk is pulled, although RW is correctly earthing in the "pull" position.

- Shouldn't be too difficult to unplug and get the multimeter on. Even I can deal with simple continuity checking. :D

Thinking about it, I might just go straight in with the contact cleaner spray.
