My fuel level gauge isn't working (not properly anyway), but my warning light appears to be. Does the low fuel warning light use the same signal from the tank as the fuel gauge?
I'm wondering if the light might work off a switch close to the end of the float travel as it's behaviour is repeatable (starts to flicker at ~180 miles on the trip) whereas the gauge might occasionally show above a 1/2 tank when full, but generally sticks at less than 1/4 tank without moving, sometimes even after refueling. Other gauges all seem reliable and stable, so I don't think it's the voltage stabiliser failing, but I could be wrong.
