Rear Brake Dustshields

Belts, Plugs, Filters, Fuels, Oils, additives etc..... Told you this might morph into servicing and service items.

Rear Brake Dustshields

Post by Sam1 »

Hi All

Firstly good to meet some of you Excel owners at the NEC on Saturday - a fine stand, well done to all who organised :D

Just been under my recently purchased Excel and noticed the rear brake dustshields could do with renewing - are they still available, as none of the main sources seem to list them? - are they a Toyota item?

Searched through the archive and couldn't find a similar topic

Thanks

They're kept between the rocking horse manure and dentures for chickens. Sorry - but I am looking into finding a solution.

Many thanks Angus, the answer I dreaded

Nice that you are on the case - btw love the window frames that you have sourced - top, top quality :D

I may well ask a friend who runs a sheet metal pressing company if he could help with the dustshields - he owes me a favour :)

I think the process of fitting is as much fun a spaying for them, since it means taking the driveshaft stub axle out.
I just made repair panels for mine, that replaced the outer section and welded to the remnants of the inner sections.
