Once the Vee belts were off ( another story and maybe thread later), all very straight forward, but I am puzzled by the timing marks on the Distributor drive.
According to the manual, the dot should be in line with the bolt centres between Crank bolt and pulley belt, but mine are way off. Photo below taken with old belt fitted and before removing any tension, So this is definately how it's been running.

Anyone got a rational explanation?
