Anyone fancy a “stunning” Elite - the interior certainly has a stunning effect!!!
Exterior though looks really nice from the photos.
But why Rev the engine when the belt is squealing

Strange. I don't see that when I go on Facebook's Lotus cars and parts for sale group. Looks very shiny. Dolan Classics appears to be in Macclesfield.
What car is that?

Reading the cars description on eBay, sounds like the owner dropped by our stand at the NEC.
No one I spoke to mentioned OTT interior trim.

Paintwork shines nicely. But I'd be a bit worried about the structural integrity, since it has been de-seamed.

Early cars were like that Richard - just had some trim stuck on the surface.

Re: Friesian Elite for sale
Just checked on register and this car was for Sale in Aug 23 on the Lotus parts Facebook page as an unfinished project.
Being sold by a business now. It might have many new parts, but the closer you look at the photo's, the more you feel it still needs a little finishing.

Great - I can see newly posted pictures for the first time in a while.Pete Boole wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 22:51Early cars were like that Richard - just had some trim stuck on the surface.

I didn't know the seams had changed. Presumably, that means the earlier cars are weaker. I'd be interested to see what a later Elite's seam line looks like, without the trim. Does anybody have a picture? Does anybody know when the improvement was made?

Re: Friesian Elite for sale
I'm not sure it was an improvement, particularly. I understand that to prepare the seams meticulously to be able to just stick the trim on top was too time-consuming in the body shop, so the later system was used where virtually no prep is needed - quicker/cheaper.

Looks like it has sold as the EBay listing says, "This item is out of stock."
