Rear seat belt brackets - SS

Post by Hawaiis0 »

I have had a small batch of Stainless Steel rear seat belt brackets fabricated. Profits will go to club funds. Havent picked them up yet so will keep informed. Will be around £25. Hope to have them on the NEC stand next month.

Excellent! A lot of these have corroded to dust.

I’m sure I’ll need a set at some time, so put me down for a set.
Not actually checked any of mine, so might need some sooner that sometime 😱🤣

This is just the external inner rear wheel arch bracket. The internal bracket will be like new still.

They are listed on SJs in mild steel still, at £30 each. But you'll be paying less for Stainless and supporting our club.

Following is the first dibs list pending quality control approval. 20 will be available. 10 left and 10 right.

I have replaced the lower rear seat belt montings. This one

So where is this other one to be found? I thought I had rusty seat belt mounts covered :D

Place head under wheel arch and look up and forwardish.
It’s the one that the bracket the rear seatbelt reel mounts to then bolts through to this bracket under the “parcel” shelf.

A question for Stu - the part number for these appear to have changed at VIN 89 D 2457. Which version is this, and are they backwards/forewords compatible?

These are B's and according to the PIG :

<revision letter> indicates which version of the part was used. Later revisions should be OK to replace earlier, but not vice-versa

However, being reproductions may have nuances.
