Owned for about a year.
Makes me think problems might be ahead, and getting shot.

Re: For sale
If description is accurate that it was inspected by PJS and they found nothing that’s good, but it also says cambelt last done 2019, so that should have been done or highlighted when examined, so what else was/wasn’t highlighted and not done.
All comes down to price and what you’re after.

Re: For sale
If it's any good, seller will have a reserve price on it somewhat higher than current bid of under £4k.
It was sold on Car & Classic in July 22. You may be able to find what it went for.
If I were in the market, would problem be ready to buy sight unseen if it stays below 4k, but I'd expect to be spending to make it a good car. Based on description, it could easily be worth £8k plus, but you'd need to see it before bidding.

Re: For sale
It looks like it has air con, please could anyone either agree or say it hasn’t. Or at least it had it when it was built.
I have asked the auctioneers but no reply yet.
Many thanks

Re: For sale
I'd say no A/C, based on fact there is no button on the heater control panel.
Even if it was fitted as standard, chances are it wouldn't be working, or seller would have made a point of stating it.

Re: For sale
Went for £8,200 apparently in 2022
Re: For sale
Thanks Tony, I thought the ac switch was the top button on the LHS instrument panel. That’s what I was looking at.
But I sold my Excel over 25 years ago so memory is hazy.
No mention of it either in the ad.
Cheers

Re: For sale
It doesn't have air con - as said, no buttons.

Re: For sale
Yes. I like auctions for the register. Nearly always a photo of the VIN plate.
