Not me either, but they are VERY close to me (same first 3 postcode).
Looks like battery cover has a depression in top. Mine doesn't. Is that like earlier cars?
Tony
Happy to look over for others (if I don't need em🤔🤔).

Have all those bits except the battery cover - not worth it to get it delivered here though!

Have some "spare" metal brackets that were lying in the boot that I need to figure out where they go - minor details!

Neil.

Two questions (one more rhetorical) -

1) What are the two bits that aren't a battery cover or rear lamp cover? Since the seller isn't even sure these are for an Excel, maybe they are something completely different that he just found in the same pile...

2) Why on earth are these pieces listed as a rear drivers side glass???

I think I know what they are, and if they are what I think, I think I might buy them as a previous owner has modified them on my car 😁
I think they are specific to 85/86 year cars.

I had the same thoughts Richard about the listing title and the "other 2 parts".
The light covers look a bit damaged. I think I now recognise all the parts as Excel though.

Alan : If they are earlier model, does this explain the depression in the Battery cover?
If you win them, I'm happy to collect & save you the postage. Can bring to the Winterbottom run in Aug if you're going ( or other event).

I don’t think so - I believe yours are ok - don’t think your painter ended up removing them.

Can you guess what they are yet?

Hi Tony

I am very interested in 2 of the bits he has. I already have a spare battery cover and light covers, but the other 2 parts are the B post outer covers off an early Excel that has no Lotus badge on the B pillers. Mine have been hacked to have badges fitted and also broken at one of the rivet holes.
As it’s an auction, if I win would you be happy to collect and I’ll stand you a drink at the Winterbottom run?

Yes. I'd sussed them as b post trims.
No problem picking them up for you. I'm trying to take a look at them as the guy can't be more than a couple of miles away.
I don't need any of these bits so won't be bidding 😊

Does anybody have any pictures of the "draught excluding foam mesh" that fits under the "B" pillar covers and how they fit? Mine have been excluded by the previous fixer...

Mine were also missing which allows rain to easily enter the car and down behind the rear side trim panels. There is a drain hole in the body near the base of the roll bar for any water that enters, but without the foam leaves etc also enter and can block the drain hole.

All you need is some rectangular bits of the type of foam that is often used for aquarium filters. I bought a sheet if this - https://ramair-filters.co.uk/accessorie ... /#images-2 but not used it yet, so can’t comment on how well it works.
