Brake caliper springy clip things..

Post by Zaphod »

Hopefully the subject line is descriptive enough! My car has a binding calliper on the passenger side and the spring clip things that sit on the pads are missing on that side. I already knew this and have in fact bought a set but they have engaged stealth mode and I need to find them or buy another set. I think I found the link to them here but can't find it!

OK so what I was looking for are the anti rattle springs! they are part of the brake fitting kit that would now appear to be purest unobtanium..
However all is not lost. The brake pads and callipers appear to be used on other Toyota cars. It would also appear as though the anti rattle springs, and guide plate are used on the Daihatsu charmade. The part number for the brake fitting kit with these parts is BFP1058 and seems to be relatively widely available
