Door black strip removal

How do you remove the black strip in the middle of the door? Is it held in place with screws from the inside? If so, what are the steps to remove the door pannel?

The black trim is glued on as it is around the rest of the body. Under the trim is a strip of metal that replicates the shape of the body flange - this is pop riveted into place.
