It is 3 stitched. However, I did mine in 3 with a folded glued edge. Still came out good

I'm seriously considering veltrim.....wondering if anyone else has gone a different route than the standard replacement.

I did mine with a mock alcantara 4 way stretch foam backed fabric - details on this post and photos of finished result
