in rubbing my car down, Im trying to work out if the inside of the door and the door shuts should be black or body colour
I cant find any body colour paint in these areas just black
I thought the only satin black bits were the bumpers, sills and spoiler..........mirrors were either black or body colour it seems.....
can anyone shed any light please?
thanks

Doors are satin black apart from the outer skin.

Re: what is painted black
Hi on my 1979 S1, which as far as I know has never been repainted, the inside edges of the doors are satin black (the edge with the door catch and also the hinge side and bottom), as are the sills (including the top return edge inside the door shut), The 'door post' is also black coming from under the plastic trim with the '503' badge and this black continues about half way down the door shut adjacent to the door striker plate, but then turns to the body colour for the bottom half.
My mirrors are also satin black but look like they may have been repaired and repainted at some point.
