Hi,
Does anyone know from what Toyota, the exterior door handles come from?
I thought they might have been from the Celica Supra 2.8i Ma61, but after looking at some photo of the Supra they don't seem to match.
I must admit the seem more like the Morris Marina door handles.
At the moment my car is sitting in the garage having the lock looked at after taking it for a MOT at another garage and a rather heavy handed gentleman had broken the internal gubbins.
I will give him the benefit of the doubt though as I knew it was fragile and normally took a few goes for it to want to lock.
So if any one could help please let me know.
Thanks
Don

You are looking at the wrong model. They are the Celica Supra 1984, but may be called liftback.

If you do get some Toyota ones remember to get the opposite side RHS Toyota = LHS Lotus.

Re: 1987 Lotus Excel SE (Toyota exterior door handles?)
Thank you for the part numbers.
The garage has informed me it was the central locking actuator mechanism that had broken and have ordered a reconditioned one from Lotus Bits.
Thank you for your assistance though.
The forum and club has helped me a lot.
Thanks
Ps. I am storing the information for the Toyota codes as you never know when they will be needed.

I would Ask to keep the mechanism. It may only be the link rods not set correctly. There is a 2mm grub screw on the actuating rods to fettle the set up.
